You simply threw your grip aboard and clambered up yourself. When you got off, the driver or conductor threw it down to you. We think our trusty Grip captures some of the romance of bygone travel, and we know it brings back much of the simple practicality. It holds enough for a weekend trip, fits under a seat, and it’s lightweight as a gym bag\u2013in fact, it can double as one. It’s made of sturdy 100% cotton twill with cowhide trim, the handles carefully rolled around a cord and stitched tight. Side gussets, an amenity from the old days\u2013keep things from falling out when it’s opened. Just throw it in the car (or the Cessna) and clamber aboard.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
