1982 Catalogue No. 10

The 1982 catalogue No. 10 isn’t listed by season, but I’d guess it’s a Summer/Fall catalogue since there is a 1982 Gift Catalogue for the holiday season. The cover features a wonderful cozy safari lodge scene with mascot Livingstone Zebra in the center, a pith helmet on the chair . Inside, it opens a welcome letter from the co-founders and a selection of Banana Republic t-shirts and other logo gear. It continues with two BR-produced leather Flight Jackets. The Sierra Denim shirt is shown and it is reviewed by the Ziegler’s friend the author Herbert Gold, who would review the shirt in many subsequent catalogues. On the back page is the Yukon Shirt, the stalwart item in the BR catalogue for many years.
