More truly unusual True Surplus, Discovered By Banana Republic: Can you imagine finding these in a store at the mall and taking them home?

Vintage Circa WWII – 1950’s French Military Ice Boots ~ Banana Republic–JJ Chabrat / Bordeaux

Up for sale is a pair of vintage French military cleated ice boots dating circa WWII with the following exterior measurements: 8″ tall, 12 1/4″ toe to heel and 4 7/8″ at the widest across the foot.  These should work out to a US 10 -11 1/2 wide, depending on the socks worn.  Construction is leather soles, green cotton canvas uppers.  These were put on sale by Banana Republic at some point and still have the original tag.
