Hooded Field Jacket?

Life’s little mysteries… This catalog era coat comes up on eBay from time to time and I’ve never seen it before. A khaki jacket (update: red has been seen too) with a bit of a windbreaker vibe and with a hood built into the collar, same as the Hooded Bush Vest. The Stars and Bananas Tag places it before 1988 as far as I know. It’s one of those items that were only sold in stores, but it seems strange to me to invest in designing and producing such a complicated garment and not feature it in the catalogues.

She loved the clothes, and as an artist, she was drawn to the illustrations. Robyn went on to study illustration at an art college in Banana Republic’s hometown of San Francisco, CA, and she worked for years as a background artist for animation.
