Savanna Skirt

The 100% Cotton Twill and Leather Savanna Skirt. Note they created entirely new illustrations between Fall and Holiday so as to pair them with different tops they wanted to highlight.

From Fall and Holiday 1987: “Rugged performance with a civilized soul: The shapely silhouette of our Savanna Skirt comes from its eight-gore construction (dressmakers know that the more pieces in a pattern, the better the fit). The sweeping hemline facilitates seven-league strides across sweeping terrain, and the heavy twill stands up to anything that grows there. The fabric is softly brushed on the inside, and machine-washable leather trim on the pockets discourages dirt and wear. Like the gentlewoman who braved Africa’s vast plains, this skirt is very nearly indestructible at no sacrifice of style.”
